Over the course of her long career, Shelley developed a distinctive voice, and a political and philosophical stance.
Charlotte Gordon has published six books and writes frequent reviews for The Washington Post and other publications. Her most recent book is Mary Shelley: A Very Short Introduction. Currently, she is the distinguished professor of the humanities at Endicott College.
